Get outside and experience a field trip as your students would! This session invites participants on an accessible hike that models engaging approaches to exploring prairie ecosystems. Often overlooked and underestimated, prairie ecosystems are rich with life, resilience, and stories. Through movement, observation, and interactive learning, we’ll practice developing a sense of place. After the hike, reflection and discussion will provide space for educators to envision how these approaches can be adapted to their own local ecosystems.
