About me
Deb Matlock is an environmental educator, spiritual ecologist, and nature‑based guide with more than twenty-five years of experience helping people build meaningful, reciprocal relationships with the more-than-human world. Her work focuses on weaving ecological awareness, reflective field practice, and spiritual connection into the professional lives of outdoor leaders, educators, and land stewards.
Deb holds advanced degrees in environmental education and interdisciplinary environmental studies and is completing a PhD exploring the more-than-human voice and environmental education in Fall 2026. Deb is the 2025 recipient of the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education Enos A. Mills Award for Exemplary Contributions to Environmental Education.
Through her business, Wild Rhythms, she offers professional trainings, retreats, and experiential programs that blend ecology, place-based connection, and creative practice to support people working in outdoor and environmental fields.
Based in Colorado, Deb continues to cultivate her own evolving relationship with the wild world, learning directly from the landscapes and beings that shape her teaching and her life.
